Low pressure, the right solution, a thorough rinse
Soft washing is how we clean anything that high pressure would hurt: vinyl and Hardie siding, stucco, EIFS, painted wood, screens, roofs and outdoor furniture.
Instead of force, it uses a cleaning solution mixed for the surface. It goes on at about the pressure of a garden hose, sits long enough to kill mold, mildew and algae, and is rinsed off. Because the growth is killed rather than just knocked loose, it stays clean longer.
On the coast that matters. Humidity, shade and salt air let algae come back quickly, and a pressure wash that only removes the surface leaves the roots behind.

What is soft washing?
Soft washing cleans with a cleaning solution applied at low pressure, then rinsed. The solution kills mold, mildew and algae instead of blasting them off, so surfaces that high pressure would damage come clean safely.
Is soft washing better than pressure washing?
For siding, stucco, roofs, painted wood and screens, yes. For concrete and other hard surfaces that can take it, pressure is the right tool. We use each where it belongs.
Is soft washing safe for plants and pets?
We use eco-friendly, biodegradable solutions, wet and cover plants before we start and rinse them after. Keep pets inside until the surfaces have been rinsed.
How long does a soft wash last?
Longer than a pressure wash, because the growth is killed rather than knocked back. Most homes here look good for a year or more; shaded and waterfront homes may need it sooner.
